On October 15, 2026, customers from Mexico visited Wuxi IDO Technology Co., Ltd. in Wuxi, China, for a factory tour and discussions on washing machine drum production lines. Our sales team welcomed the visitors and accompanied them through the showroom and workshop, introducing our production equipment, assembly processes, and capabilities in developing and manufacturing customized automated lines.

The visit focused on drum manufacturing for front-loading and top-loading washing machines. It provided an opportunity for both teams to exchange ideas in person and for the visitors to see our manufacturing capabilities firsthand.

IDO designs and manufactures washing machine drum production lines with different forming, joining, and assembly configurations. Our solutions cover both front-loading and top-loading applications, with lock-seaming, TIG welding, plasma welding, and laser welding available according to the drum design and manufacturing requirements.

These joining methods form part of the overall production route. The equipment configuration needs to account for how the drum body is formed, how its seam is joined, and how the remaining components are assembled.

For front-loading applications, our Fully Automatic Washing Machine Drum Assembly Line (Lock-Seaming Type) connects sheet preparation with drum-body forming and assembly. Its operations include decoiling and straightening, punching and forming, V-bending, lock-seaming, rolling and sizing, front and rear cover assembly, spider screw fastening, and automatic unloading.

Our Top-loading Washing Machine Drum Assembly Line (TIG Welding Type) provides another production route for pulsator-type washing machine drums.

The line combines precision cutting and rolling with TIG welding and subsequent forming and assembly operations, including rib rolling, hole punching, rim curling, spin-riveting, and sealant application. This configuration addresses the forming and joining requirements of a tapered drum structure.

The choice between lock-seaming and a welding process starts with the drum itself. Product drawings, material specifications, joint requirements, and production targets provide the basis for selecting equipment and developing the line layout.
